Are you ready to “dig deeper?”
Who should take this course? Digging Deeper is a course designed for current market gardeners and home gardeners that want to increase their production of fruits, vegetables, and/or herbs for direct and intermediated market sales in Idaho.
What does the course include? Five weeks of interactive Zoom class meetings feature University educators and Idaho farmers with extensive backgrounds in the art and science of growing crops for market. Each week will focus on topics selected to improve quality, efficiency, profitability, and life in general on a small, diversified vegetable operation. From understanding regulations and your growing conditions to irrigation choices and calculating how much to grow to farmer wellness and strategies for harvesting systems, we’ll offer real world examples and personalized feedback to help you meet your goals. In addition to the 10 hours of live presentations, panel discussions and Q&A, participants will also have unlimited access to an extensive library of recommended readings, videos, activities, planning templates and more during the class.
